The city of Lisichansk in the Lugansk region is not surrounded, but the occupying Russian troops are approaching from different directions.

Russian command and propagandists controlling almost half of the city, and that Lisichansk is surrounded. Such information is not true. However, the enemies are shelling the city quite powerfully – they even cook at humanitarian centers, people get injured. There are no fights inside the city, they continue in the vicinity. On June 30, the head of the Lugansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai, announced this on the air of the national telethon.
The official added that Lisichansk, compared to Severodonetsk, is well located geographically – in the settlement there are heights and positions that are more suitable for defense. But it is still impossible to carry out an evacuation from the city due to constant shelling and mining.

The only thing that can be stated is that there are a lot of Russians, they climb out of all the cracks, an incredible amount of equipment and artillery. They really dominate the artillery. They shoot everything in front of them, – said the head of the Luhansk region.
Recall that in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for June 20, it was reported that the battle for the city of Lisichansk continues. The occupiers have partial success in the area of the city’s oil refinery and contain the northwestern and southeastern parts of the enterprise.
Enemy units were advancing in the areas of the northeastern part of the Lisichansk Oil Refinery, the settlement of Topolevka and the northern part of the settlements of Volcheyarovka and Maloryazantsevo. The enemy partially succeeds and controls the section of the road Topolevka-Lysichansk with fire.
The Ukrainian army stopped the offensive of the Russian army in the direction of Loskutovka – Lisichansk gelatin plant. The enemy was forced to withdraw.
