The presidential candidate’s team said they could “step back now and work with Donald Trump.”
Independent candidate for US President Robert Kennedy Jr. is considering. to end his presidential campaign to support Republican candidate Donald Trump. This is what Kennedy’s Vice President Nicole Shanahan said in an interview published on Tuesday, August 20, Reuters reports.
Shanahan noted that as an independent candidate, Kennedy risks getting votes from voters who might support Trump and help Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win the November election.
He also noted that they could “back off now and work with Donald Trump.” When asked when a final decision would be made, Shanahan did not give a definitive answer.
It was previously reported that Trump had offered Kennedy an administration position if he dropped out of the race.
It will be remembered that in May, Kennedy said that the parasite ate part of his brain.
