In the Luhansk region, the occupation “Ministry of Culture” has decided to reduce the network of cultural institutions.
The press service of the Luhansk Regional Military District reported this today, July 19.
It is noted that such actions by the occupiers are due to the lack of money to ensure the operation of the establishments and for equipment or repairs – Russia has significantly limited funding.
If the establishment is closed legally in time, it will not be able to fall under the implementation of the national project “Culture” and even hope for donations from the presidential fund for cultural initiatives. If it is not done in time, then no funds will be allocated for it at all, the OVA notes.
It is reported that:
- The first to be subject to such “optimization” will be cultural institutions that require repairs or the purchase of new equipment—that is, significant investments;
- subsequently – those located in cities and villages with a small population, as well as those where there are enough vacancies.
According to the above-mentioned Russian project, which makes restoration impossible, clubs on wheels will be purchased for these settlements, the OVA adds.
