The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to operate in the Kursk region of Russia.
In particular, fighters of the 80th separate Galician airborne assault brigade are firing at Russians from Sevalka flamethrower installations. Thermobaric S-8 missiles are used to destroy enemy personnel and military equipment with fire. The enemy is suffering significant losses. The command of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
As is known, the “Seeder VM-8” system is designed to fire unguided aircraft missiles NAR S-8.
Characteristics of the MLRS “Seeder VM-8”:
- projectiles – 12/16 unguided aircraft rockets S-8KO,
- caliber – 80 mm,
- the warhead is a cumulative fragmentation warhead, it should penetrate 400 mm of armor,
- shooting accuracy – 80% with a circle of 100 m in diameter
- range – up to 5 km.
Let us recall that the GUR showed how the “Partisans” group of the 9th department destroyed military equipment, surveillance systems, logistics facilities and field fortifications of the Russians using the “Sych” strike and reconnaissance complex and FPV drones.
