Ukrainian paratroopers captured the latest Russian T-90M “Proryv” tank.
The equipment was captured in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This vehicle became a trophy of the fighters of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The press service of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade reported this on Facebook on August 18.
A video of the trophy has already been published online. The tank does not show any significant damage.
The military said that the tank was captured during one of the raids by Galician paratroopers behind enemy lines, where they were supposed to clear enemy positions.
As is known, the Russian army received the first batch of T-90M in 2020. This tank is a modernized version of the main Russian tank T-90, which in turn is a modernization of the Soviet tank T-72. These vehicles received a fundamentally new turret, a powerful engine, a new multi-channel sight.
