Germany said the attack on the gas pipeline was likely supported by Poland.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded to the latest developments surrounding the investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline explosions.
“To all the initiators and patrons of Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2. The only thing you should do now about this is apologize and keep quiet,” Tusk wrote on his X (Twitter).
On Thursday, the website of the daily newspaper Die Welt published an interview with the former head of German foreign intelligence, August Gunning. He said the attack on the pipeline was likely supported by Poland. He added that Germany should consider demanding compensation from the Polish and Ukrainian authorities.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski denied accusations of Polish involvement.
We remind you that on August 15, The Wall Street Journal reported that top Ukrainian officials were involved in blowing up a gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea.
