Russia threatens Italian journalists who filmed a report in Sudzha.
Maria Zakharova’s department complains that the Rai team working in Kursk region “grossly violated Russian legislation and basic rules of journalistic ethics.”
There they threatened journalists with criminal liability in Russia.
The Italian TV channel Rai 1 published its report on August 14. Correspondents Stefania Battistine and Simone Traini came to Sudzha together with the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. They filmed houses destroyed by shelling and talked to local residents.
The Italian film crew worked accompanied by Ukrainian soldiers and broadcast footage of the war-torn city.

Earlier on Friday, the Baza Telegram channel, which is close to Russian law enforcement agencies, reported that the terrorist federation’s Interior Ministry plans to open criminal cases against two RAI journalists for illegally crossing the Russian border.
Despite the boomerang law, the Russian Foreign Ministry, at the time of the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea, had no idea that it would need the wording about “illegal border crossing.”
