The fire that broke out after an enemy missile attack on the night of August 17 in Sumy was extinguished. Rescuers showed footage of the shelling’s aftermath. This was confirmed by the message of the State Emergency Service in the Sumy region on Facebook.
Enemy aircraft attacked the city of Sumy in the morning. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out and engulfed 10 vehicles in a parking lot next to a residential high-rise building.
“Rescuers were able to put out the identified fires and prevent the fire from spreading to other vehicles,” the statement said.
Soldiers of the State Emergency Service examined the area where the strike took place. The blast wave shattered windows and damaged the facades of nearby houses in Sumy.
