Mobile operators and large Internet providers can book all their employees.
This applies to operators and providers who comply with the requirements of the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Electronic Communication Networks of Ukraine (NCU) to ensure Internet access during power outages. The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the corresponding amendments to Resolution No. 76. This was reported on August 16 by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
It is noted that in order to book employees, mobile operators must have an income of more than UAH 200 million, and Internet providers – more than UAH 20 million. These companies must also receive criticality status, for which criteria have been developed. And employees who are submitted to the booking lists must work full-time on the company’s staff for at least three months.
Internet service providers with critical status, but their income is less than UAH 20 million per month, will be able to reserve more than 50% of their technical staff. This is possible if the provider has equipment and personnel to support the operation of networks during power outages, their restoration when they are destroyed, and provides services in the territories of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions and in Kyiv.
The President set the task of stabilizing mobile communications and the Internet during power outages, the decision to reserve workers is one of the necessary steps. Power outages should not affect people’s basic needs, – wrote the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov in Telegram.
Let us recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the process of obtaining a “reservation” for employees in the transportation sector. In particular, the number of criteria that a transportation company must meet has been reduced from three to two. Reservations can be obtained by employees of bus stations and companies that perform irregular transportation.
