“NATO has implemented the most comprehensive defense plans since the Cold War, and alliance forces are actively testing and improving these plans. We currently have more than 500,000 troops on high alert, Bauer said.
In addition, the allies agreed to strengthen air and missile defense. In particular, an important step is the creation of a new missile defense base, Aegis Ashore, in Poland.
“We are part of the strongest alliance in the world. And we need to make it stronger,” the admiral explained.
