The robot firefighter can overcome difficult terrain, move through burning debris, and work in extreme temperatures.
An engineering ground robotic fire extinguishing complex was approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the robotic fire extinguishing complex is a movable tracked platform with special equipment for supplying water under pressure or special fire extinguisher foam. Using the control panel, the operator directs the robot from a safe place to the epicenter of the fire. The flow of liquid supplied to the combustion source can be controlled remotely.
The robot works at a distance of up to 2 km from the operator in open areas and up to 400 m in rough terrain. The operator receives an image from the dangerous area where the fire is extinguished from an object control video camera installed on the platform.
Reportedly, the ground robotic complex was initially developed for the needs of civilian emergency services, but the military became interested in the machine. Such a robot is needed, for example, in places where there are unexploded ordnance near flammable equipment, where there is a risk of explosion of ammunition, as well as in other potentially dangerous cases related to the danger to life and health. of military personnel.
At the request of the military, this robotic platform received a reinforced chassis. The control range and battery life are also increased. Thanks to its tracked chassis, this robotic firefighter can overcome difficult terrain, move over burning debris, work in extreme temperatures and create a so-called “water wall” with the help of its water cannon.

We remind you that in Ukraine they launched mass production of the Ratel H robot, designed to evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
As reported, since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved more than 10 domestically produced robotic systems for use in the army.
