Russia has proven not to have destroyed the systems of the Ukrainian air defense system.
The effective operation of the Ukrainian air defense system is a major challenge for Russian air and missile operations. This is stated in report British intelligence, released on Sunday night, April 3.
It was noted that complete air control is one of the main tasks of the Russian army in Ukraine. Russia, however, was unable to destroy Ukrainian air defense systems, leaving its aircraft still vulnerable.
“Russia’s failure to identify and destroy air defense systems has seriously undermined its efforts to establish broad air control, which, in turn, has had a major impact on its ability to support the offensive of the its ground forces in some areas, “the ministry said.
In addition, British intelligence confirmed the regrouping of enemy troops.
“In the past week, there has been a concentration of Russian aircraft in the southeastern direction of Ukraine, probably as a result of the fact that Russia has concentrated its military operations in this area,” the document said.
Let us add that on April 1, servicemen of the 95th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down two Russian Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters with the help of the Korsar anti-tank system. This is the first time an air target has been successfully destroyed using an ATGM.
As reported, two Russian aircraft (preliminarily, Su-34 fighter-bombers), a helicopter, a drone and four cruise missiles were destroyed in the skies over Ukraine the previous day.
