Ukraine has officially acknowledged its involvement in its actions in the Kursk region.
Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky reported to President Vladimir Zelensky on defensive actions at the front and operations in the Kursk region.
The situation is under control, Syrsky said during a video broadcast at Headquarters.
Among other things, the Minister of Internal Affairs and other SBU officials were instructed to prepare a humanitarian plan for the territory where the operation was taking place.
It also became known from the headquarters that the Ukrainian Armed Forces control about 1,000 square kilometers in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russia officially acknowledged the loss of 28 settlements in the Kursk region. The depth of penetration of Ukrainian troops is 12 km, the width is 40 km. 121 thousand Muscovites left and were evacuated from the region, another 180 thousand people are subject to evacuation. This was stated by the governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov.
But Deep State has a different assessment: the Ukrainian Armed Forces control 44 populated areas on Russian territory.
