A Ukrainian armored car moves through the village of Giryi, Belovsky district, Kursk region, Radio Liberty reports.
Journalists geolocated a video published on the morning of August 12 by Russian sources and found that in it, Ukrainian military equipment passes through the village of Giryi, Belovsky district, Kursk region – 30 km southeast of the city of Sudzha, in the direction in which Ukrainian troops were moving earlier. Local authorities announced the evacuation of the area. It was reported by Radio Liberty.
The media said the video was shot in Girya near a cellular tower. The Ukrainian armored car is moving north towards the village of Belitsa. In the video, he passes by the Giriya bus stop.
The acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, reported on Telegram that the regional operational headquarters decided to evacuate the residents of the Belovsky district.
“I ordered the regional Ministry of Transportation to prepare additional transportation to safe places. Now the main thing is to immediately inform residents about the opportunity to leave the area… I ask the residents of the district of Belovsky to comply with the recommendations of the authorities and law enforcement agencies,” the Russian official said.

Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian military, during an operation in the Kursk region, encountered an unexpected problem – there were too many captured Russians who needed to be processed, brought to Ukraine and housed. Logistics is running at the end of its capabilities.
