The head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration, Sergei Lysak, said that the fire on the territory of the Zaporizhia NPP has stopped.

On the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the fire started by the Russian invaders stopped there. This was announced on August 12 by the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration Sergei Lysak.

He added that the level of radiation in the Nikopol region is normal.

“We are keeping the situation under control,” Lysak said.

The IAEA confirmed heavy smoke and explosions on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant occupied by the Russians. According to the Ukrainian authorities, the Russians may have burned a large amount of car tires in the cooling tower to create panic.

According to the State Emergency Service, a stable radiation situation remains in Ukraine, no changes have been detected at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant site.
