No one expected there to be hundreds of prisoners. Now Ukrainians are having problems with their registration, transportation in Ukraine and placement.
During the operation in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian military encountered an unexpected problem – too many captured Russians. This was reported by Ukrainian military journalist Andrey Tsaplienko on the evening of Sunday, August 11.
According to him, no one expected that there would be hundreds of prisoners. It was mostly conscripts who surrendered without a fight.
“Now they have to be documented, recorded on video and delivered to the prisoners of war camps, which must be ready to receive a large number of people at the same time, so the logistics work on the edge of the possibilities,” said Tsaplienko.
He also published photos and videos of dozens of captured Russian soldiers.
We remind you that on Sunday it was also learned that soldiers from the 225th Special Operations Brigade defeated the Chechen unit Akhmat. A video of them was published.
According to media reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced 30 km deep into Russia. Journalists also reported a steady stream of armored personnel carriers and tanks moving toward Russia.
