Sumy region was under Russian missile attacks on Sunday, August 11.
This evening, the occupiers launched a missile and air strike on infrastructure facilities in the Sumy region. All necessary services are working on the scene. Emergency recovery operations are underway. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The air force declared an air raid alert in Kyiv and a number of regions this evening due to the threat of using ballistic weapons. Explosions were heard in Odessa and Sumy.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening video address that the Ukrainian military is recording all the locations from which ballistic missiles are launched.
It would be fair if the launch sites for such missiles were destroyed. Just as air defense protects life, lifting restrictions on long-range strikes would save thousands of lives, the president emphasized.
Let us recall that on the night of August 11, Moscow Nazis attacked Ukraine with four KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region and 57 Shahed-type strike UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeysk, Kursk regions – Russian Federation. In the Kyiv region, as a result of the missile attack, a man and a child were killed, and three more were injured.
