The measures are designed to increase the energy independence of both critical infrastructure facilities and every Ukrainian in general.
In Ukraine, by the end of next year, solar panels with energy conservation systems will be installed in all administrative buildings. Deputy Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk said this on Saturday, August 10, during a telethon.
“A decision was made to make it mandatory to install solar panels with energy storage systems in all public buildings, taking into account ministries, departments, agencies, as well as the regional military administrations, by the end of next year,” he said.
“We are doing all this to increase the energy independence of critical infrastructure facilities, and of every Ukrainian in general,” said Grinchuk.
He added that first of all, solar panels will be installed on the roofs of schools and hospitals.
Let’s recall that Ukraine, with the help of partners, intends to build up to 1 gigawatt of gas-fired flexible generation by 2024 and another 4 gigawatts in the coming years.
Earlier, Galushchenko said that Ukraine is actively restoring its energy network and generation.
