The return of strict power outage schedules in Ukraine is not yet expected.
Electricity will not be turned off, despite the serious heat. They may start turning off the lights if the Russian Federation starts attacking the Ukrainian energy sector again. Deputy Minister of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk said this on the air of the telethon.
We are planning to add additional capacity to the energy system. Even if the heat returns, we hope that we will not have outages like those in July. But we must remember that the situation can change at any moment due to potential enemy attacks on the energy system, the official noted.
The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy stated that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system has significantly stabilized. This helped complete scheduled repairs at nuclear power plants.
Let us recall that the Ministry of Energy stated that during the power outage schedules, some regions of Ukraine did not follow the dispatcher’s orders to impose restrictions, and they will be held accountable for this.
In the spring, Russian invaders caused significant damage to the Ukrainian energy sector, destroying large thermal power plants and thermal power stations and putting the Dnieper hydroelectric power station out of action. This led to large-scale power outages in Ukraine.
