Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has announced an alleged violation of airspace by Ukraine’s attack drones.
This was reported by the Belarusian news agency BelTA,
According to Lukashenko, the incident allegedly occurred yesterday, August 10, in the evening in the Kostyukovitsky district (bordering the Bryansk region of Russia).
Yesterday at 18:10, the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces were put on high alert, he said.
Lukashenko stated that at 19:04, “at an altitude of 1.5 km and a range of 6.5 km, air defense forces destroyed several targets over the territory of Belarus,” and now “a search is underway for what was destroyed.”
We suspect that these are attack drones,” he said.
According to him, some of these targets were shot down over Belarus, while others subsequently changed direction and headed for Yaroslavl, Russia.
Lukashenko also complained that Ukrainians “continue to escalate tensions” in the Kursk region of Russia.
Two days ago there was an attack in the Kursk direction, where they advanced several dozen kilometers – 30-35 already today. They are digging in there, he said.
