The President decided to award the defenders with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnitsky, Daniil Galitsky and For Valor, medals For Military Service in Ukraine and Defender of the Fatherland.
President Vladimir Zelensky awarded state awards to 31 defenders of Ukraine. The order was published on the website of the head of state.

The awards are intended for personal courage shown during combat and selfless performance of military duty.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree awarding state awards to 266 Ukrainian military personnel.
It was also reported that President Vladimir Zelensky presented state awards to 28 doctors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Service and awarded two with the honorary title of Honored Doctor.
