The Croatian side also confirmed its readiness to provide additional support to Ukraine in the energy sector, especially in preparation for the autumn-winter season.
Deputy Energy Minister Roman Andarak, in a meeting with the ambassador, expressed gratitude to Croatia for the humanitarian aid provided, including 75 tons of equipment that will help strengthen the Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He added that since the beginning of Russia’s armed aggression, Croatia has been and remains one of Ukraine’s most consistent and reliable partners.
Andarak emphasized that the equipment provided is a priority need, especially in the front-line regions where the Russian invaders have destroyed a significant part of the energy capacity.
The parties also discussed Croatia’s participation in the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund and assistance to the families of energy workers who suffered as a result of Russia’s armed aggression. During the meeting, they also discussed the exchange of experience in the negotiation process on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
It was previously reported that Croatia will transfer a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 30 million euros.
