Occupied Crimea was again under attack by drones.
On the night of August 9, a series of explosions were heard on the territory of the occupied peninsula. It was loud in different areas of Sevastopol, Chernomorskoye and Simferopol. The Russians reported the “destruction” of 13 drones over Crimea. This was announced by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The aggressor country’s defense department claims that seven Ukrainian naval UAVs heading towards the peninsula were allegedly destroyed in the Black Sea.
The Telegram channel “Krymsky Veter” reported about a powerful explosion in Chornomorskoye. It was heard at 2:00, and local residents are talking about a very powerful explosion, because the windows almost blew out.
Subsequently, another explosion was heard in the area of the village of Dzholman near Simferopol. In addition, there was unrest for the occupiers in various areas of Sevastopol.
Local residents also reported small arms fire and Russian air defense activity in the area of the Belbek airfield.
Let us recall that on the night of August 9, drones attacked a military airfield in the Lipetsk region of Russia. An ammunition depot was probably hit at the airfield. The explosions were so powerful that local authorities announced the evacuation of four villages – Koptsevye Khutors, Fedorovka, Yakovlevka and Tynkovka, located near the airfield. Six people were preliminarily injured in the attack and were hospitalized.
