Kernel Holding S.A., one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of sunflower oil, said its largest plant in western Ukraine had been damaged in a Russian drone attack.
Work at the plant was suspended. The company announced the suspension on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
It is noted that the attack resulted in a fire, which was extinguished.
Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the attack. The company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and associated losses, the statement said.
The largest Kernel plant is located in the Khmelnytsky region, the Starokostiantynivskyi Oil Extraction Plant, which began operations in April of this year.
