On the night of today, August 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian anti-aircraft missile system “Buk-M3” near the village of Zaporozhye in the Orekhov direction.

    .

The speaker of the OUV “Tavria” captain Dmitry Likhovoy spoke about this on the air of the national telethon, reports the publication “Censor.net”.

This is a modern, upgraded Russian air defense missile system, which was adopted into service in 2016. Also, in the Velyki Kopany area in the Kherson region, an Osa air defense missile system was destroyed, Likhovoy noted.

Likhovoy added that two days ago a Buk-M1 air defense system was destroyed in the Ukrainskoye area, and another Tor and two Buks in the Orekhovskoye direction were destroyed in just one week of August.

It is necessary to emphasize that we are experiencing a kind of genocide of Russian air defense systems, because since the beginning of the month, six have already been destroyed, all in the Zaporizhia region, he emphasized.

It is worth adding that a few days ago a video appeared on social networks of the successful destruction of a Buk air defense system by HIMARS missiles near Tokmak in Zaporozhye.
