In Ukraine, power outages for some businesses have been abolished.
This comes after the government passed a decree on August 6 that says that consumers who use at least 80% of their own electricity will not be subject to power outage schedules:
Thus, the state stimulates energy autonomy of business, noted the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
He added that officials, in order to ensure the proper level of preparation for the winter period, introduced a package of programs and measures to accelerate the development of decentralized generation.
We are talking about loans to businesses and citizens for the creation of alternative energy, duty-free import of energy equipment, and simplification of bureaucratic procedures for launching generating units.
On August 6, Ukrenergo reported that consumption at the beginning of the work week after the weekend traditionally increased.
The maximum consumption on August 5 was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the previous working day – Friday, August 3. The use of restrictive measures is not expected.
Since the power grid is still being restored after eight massive attacks by Russians, and emergency and scheduled repairs are ongoing at power facilities, power engineers have called for the use of powerful electrical appliances to be moved to daytime hours, from 11:00 to 15:00, if possible. This is the period when there is more electricity in the power grid due to the active operation of solar power plants.
