The head of the German Foreign Ministry is convinced that Germany should invest “in its own security and its own forces,” which, in particular, includes a decision on the deployment of long-range American weapons systems.
Russia has developed and deployed outlawed missiles in Kaliningrad capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said. The head of the German Foreign Ministry wrote about this in an article for Bild on August 3.
Berbock emphasized that the Russian Federation has been preparing for this war against Ukraine for a long time.
“For years, the Russian Federation has violated disarmament agreements, then denounced them. The Russian Federation has developed a prohibited weapon that can be equipped with a nuclear charge. It is located in Kaliningrad, less than 600 km from Berlin,” the minister wrote.
Therefore, the head of the department is convinced that Germany should invest “in its own security and its own forces,” which, in particular, includes a decision on the deployment of long-range American weapons systems .
We remind you that on May 6 it became known that Russia will conduct exercises with nuclear weapons. These are in response to “provocative statements and threats by individual Western officials against the Russian Federation,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said at the time. The first phase of the exercise began on May 21, and the second phase began on June 11.
The Kremlin then said that Western countries seem to be “aggravating” the situation in Ukraine and that this requires a response from the Russian Federation in the form of nuclear exercises.
