The pace of mobilization suits the highest military leadership of Ukraine.
This was reported by Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
One of the leaders of the presidential faction “Servant of the People” said that the relevant committee of parliament has all the statistical data on the rate of mobilization in Ukraine, but these figures are a state secret.
I would be guided by the statements of President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said that mobilization is proceeding at a pace that meets the needs of national security and defense interests, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky, who said that, indeed, mobilization, as of today, meets the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in replenishing those losses that exist (sanitary, and unfortunately, inevitable), and (ensures) the formation of those reserves that are constantly needed to maintain our Armed Forces and other components of the security and defense sector in proper condition, Venislavsky said.
Three military experts familiar with Ukraine’s mobilization figures told The New York Times that Kyiv has been calling up as many as 30,000 men a month since a new mobilization law went into effect in May.
According to sources, this is two to three times more than in the last winter months, and approximately the same number as the Russian army calls up every month.
Earlier, Venislavsky explained in a conversation with UP how commanders will be able to call up volunteers without the TCC.
The TCC has its own mobilization plans and orders from the General Staff, so they did not always meet the volunteers who came with relations from specific military units. It was possible to get into the selected unit only by signing a contract. But not all conscripts want to sign a contract, because it provides for certain terms that are not always suitable for citizens. The General Staff offers the following mechanism: if a conscript wants to join a specific unit, he can do so by entering into communication with the commander. That is, commanders will be able to call up volunteers for service without the participation of the TCC,” Venislavsky explained.
The Servant of the People party (MP Dmitry Natalukha) previously stated that approximately 800 thousand men “lay low” to avoid mobilization.
