The identity of a Russian war criminal who participated in torturing civilians during the occupation of part of the territory of the Kyiv region has been established. The SBU press service reported this on August 6.
We are talking about a 24-year-old soldier of the 14th separate special forces brigade of the main director of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (GRU), Alexander Tamryan.
It was mentioned that at the beginning of the whole invasion, Tamryan took part in the capture of the village of Kozarovichi, Vyshgorod region. During the occupation, he was involved in conducting so-called “cleansing operations” aimed at identifying members of the resistance movement.
In March 2022, Tamryan, along with other Russian military personnel, conducted searches of the homes of local residents. During one of these raids, he rushed into the yard of a 50-year-old man, knocked him out with the butt of a machine gun, and then, along with four accomplices, brutally beat the victim with their feet. and a rifle.
The occupier tried to force the man to admit cooperation with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, but it was unsuccessful. After that, the invaders left the victim to bleed to death in the yard, and Tamryan threatened to come back and kill him. The victim was able to escape and avoid further physical harm.
As a result of the beating, the man suffered multiple injuries: broken ribs, broken head, damaged chest, lower back and leg.
Tamryan was charged in absentia with suspected atrocities against the civilian population committed by a group of people. Comprehensive measures are underway to bring the war criminal to justice.
It was previously reported that a Russian serviceman who tortured a resident of the Kiev region during the occupation was charged in absentia with suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war.
We remind you that the Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of the former head of the Russian torture facility in the Lugansk region, which brought Ukrainian prisoners to a mock “execution”.
