World 2022: WTO trusts Qatar for “safe gatherings”.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday expressed confidence in the measures that Qatar will take to successfully manage the risks associated with Covid-19 during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to Michael Ryan, WHO Executive Director for Health Emergencies, there is no reason to believe that the risks of an epidemic will be greater during the forthcoming competition (November 21 – December 18) than during other major events that have occurred safely in recent months.

“Properly managed, well-planned mass rallies can proceed safely”He said during the live exchanges on the WHO Facebook page. “We are working closely with the Qatari authorities on this issue and, if necessary, advising them on how to organize this World Cup in complete security. Qatar’s public health authorities have made significant investments in the management of public health risks in the context of the World Cup. he explained.

In total, two million tickets will be sold for Mondial-2022. Another one million is intended for sponsors համար FIFA, the governing body of world sports.

The capital of Qatar, Doha, which has a population of about 2.4 million, is preparing for the influx of football fans from all over the world to watch the match, which will be attended by 32 teams, which will start on November 21.
