In Ivano-Frankivsk region, an official of the TCC received a considerable fine.
The Kalush District Court issued a verdict in the case of the commander of the security company of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Recruitment and Social Support. He enrolled football players from a local professional club in his unit. During their fictitious “service” they also received almost UAH 1.5 million in financial support from the state. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
Law enforcement officers found out that seven men, who were players and coaches of the local professional football team, served in the security company. All of them did not report for duty and did not perform any military duties.
The court found the official guilty of negligent attitude to military service – Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The accused fully compensated for the damage caused, and the court imposed a fine of 221 thousand UAH on him.
At the time of the investigation, the suspect was suspended from his duties. The DBR stated that he was transferred to serve in another unit.
Let us recall that in Ternopil Oblast, law enforcement officers exposed a group of employees of one of the district TCC and SP, who had established corrupt schemes to avoid mobilization. In particular, the perpetrators resorted to beating and kidnapping conscripts.
