Law enforcement officers are investigating a rally in front of the TCC building in Kovel, Volyn region.
Two criminal proceedings have been opened on the fact of the incident: under Part 1 of Article 295 (calls for actions threatening public order) and Part 1 of Article 293 (group violation of public order) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This was reported on August 5 by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Volyn region.
Police continue to identify the participants in the incident, question eyewitnesses and find out other details of the incident.
The department reported that yesterday they received a message that several dozen people had gathered near the premises of the local TCC and SP, expressing dissatisfaction with the work of the military personnel. Patrol officers and an investigative-operational police group were working at the scene.
Let us recall that on August 3, in the Volyn region, in the city of Kovel, a rally was held near the local branch of the TCC. The protest was provoked by the detention of several men at one of the checkpoints and their delivery to the Territorial Recruitment Center. Under pressure from civilian military personnel, they were forced to release the detainees.
