The Kyiv region will be the first among Ukrainian regions to start training women for the “male” professions of construction equipment drivers. Women driving excavators and loaders will help Ukrainian companies cope with the personnel crisis caused by the war.

As reported by the Kiev Regional Military Administration, training for the first year of the school of construction equipment operators will begin on August 5 at the Nemishayevsky Professional College.

The first training group included 15 women. The course will last 9 weeks.

The curriculum is aimed at attracting women into the construction equipment driver profession on an equal basis, although places are also available to men.

In total, it is expected that 75 people will undergo training in five training groups. Practical training will be conducted on modern excavators and loaders.
