The current vice president’s campaign said Trump needs to stop playing games and show up for the Sept. 10 debate he has already done on ABC News.
US presidential candidate Kamala Harris disagreed with her Republican rival Donald Trump’s proposal to hold a debate on Fox News on September 4. CBS News reported this on Saturday, August 3, citing the headquarters of Harris campaign.
It said it would stick with the original plan to host the debate on ABC News.
Also, according to the TV channel, the Harris campaign said that “Donald Trump ran away scared,” hoping that Fox News would “save him” from his debate, which had already been arranged with ABC News.
“He needs to stop playing and show up for the debate he’s committed to on Sept. 10. The vice president is going to be there one way or another to take advantage of the opportunity to speak to a national audience in prime time,” said Michael Tyler, the communications director of the Harris campaign.
In addition, the Harris campaign emphasized that they are “open to discussing holding additional debates, but only after those that both candidates agree to take place.
Earlier on August 3, Trump reportedly accepted Fox News’ offer to debate Harris.
We remind you that yesterday Kamala Harris became the official candidate of the Democratic Party.
