Employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continue to provide assistance to Ukrainian citizens in Lebanon.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Saturday, August 3, organized the evacuation of thirty of our citizens from Lebanon, where the security situation has deteriorated significantly. This was reported by the GUR press service.

“Our compatriots, including 21 women and nine children, have arrived in Rzeszow, Poland, and were met safely by Ukrainian consuls and representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU – the evacuees are provided with all necessary help and. Ukraine became one of the first in the world to successfully evacuate its citizens from Lebanon, as in previous cases of crises and armed conflicts abroad, Ukraine shows leadership in protecting its citizens , “GUR stressed. and added that Ukrainian diplomats warned our citizens in Lebanon about this and advised in advance to leave the territory of the republic.

Employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continue to provide assistance to Ukrainian citizens in Lebanon, and those who decide to stay there are advised to avoid crowded places, do not participate in demonstrations, strictly. follow security measures and rules for the stay of foreigners in the country, and comply with the legal requirements of law enforcement authorities, monitor reports from local authorities about the development of the situation, do not leave your place of residence unless absolutely necessary, always carry identification documents with you, and also consider the possibility of reducing the length of your stay in the country.

In addition, Ukrainian citizens staying in Lebanon are advised to refrain from traveling to areas bordering the Syrian border; border of Israel south of the Litani River; in the refugee camps of Nahr Al-Bared and Beddawi (near Tripoli), Ain Al-Hilweh and Mieh Mieh (near Saida); Bek Valley; southern suburb of Beirut (Dahie district).
