SBU counterintelligence in the Odessa region detained a Russian military intelligence saboteur who attempted to commit arson at Ukrzaliznytsia facilities, in particular transformer substations and relay cabinets. The SBU press service reported this on Thursday, August 1.

These actions are aimed at disrupting the movement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The suspect was with an acquaintance in burning the transformer. However, he was detained by the SBU during the initial stage of the operation.
The attacker is in custody. The prisoner faces life in prison.
We remind you that recently a saboteur was detained who, on instructions from Russian intelligence, was preparing a series of arson attacks on strategic facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kyiv. The main targets were relay cabinets along the main train lines in the capital.
Earlier, the SBU detained a Russian informant who was leaking Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Kharkov.
