The head of the Israeli government expressed his determination to continue the fight until the goals of the war were achieved.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the country in which he said the country had dealt “painful blows” to its enemies. But tough days await him, CNN reports.
The head of the Israeli government listed the achievements of recent weeks: the attack on the military leader of Hamas, Mohammed Deif, the strike against the Yemeni Houthis and the defeat of the military leader of Hezbollah, Fuad Shukr. At the same time, the prime minister did not mention the assassination of the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.
Netanyahu also said that Israel faces “difficult days.”
“These are difficult days. There are threats coming from Beirut. We are ready for any scenario. We are ready,” he said.
At the same time, Netanyahu did not comment on Iran’s intention to carry out the strike, which was already authorized by the country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
However, Netanyahu promised that “we will settle the score with all those who kill our citizens, who kill our children,” and also said that he was persuaded to agree to a cease-fire before achieving the goals of war in Gaza – but he “didn’t give up then and won’t give up now.”
As reported, last night one of the leaders of the Palestinian group Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed in a shooting at his residence in the capital of Iran on the morning of July 31. Analysts on Iranian state television immediately blamed Israel for attack. Iran’s Supreme Religious Leader Ali Khamenei announced a response to Israel for the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
