The occupiers sent dozens of drones to the capital. This was already the seventh attack on Kyiv by enemy drones in July. In terms of the number of kamikaze drones of the Shahed type used, it was the most massive for the Ukrainian capital in 2024. The Kiev City Military Administration reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that Russian drones entered Kyiv in waves and in different directions. Ukrainian air defense on the approaches to the city and in the capital itself shot down more than 30 “Shaheds”. However, the final number of destroyed hostile targets will be named by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 6:18, it was known that no one was hurt in Kyiv as a result of the attack, and no damage was recorded. However, this information is only preliminary.
The air raid alarm in Kyiv lasted 7 hours and 14 minutes.
And during the morning’s second wave of drone air strikes, enemy drones continued to attack the capital in waves in specific directions. But not a single drone reached its target.
In total, during these two waves together, more than 40 enemy UAVs were shot down in the airspace of Kyiv and on the approaches to the capital. Preliminary, without casualties or destruction.
Let us recall that on the night of July 29, Russia attacked Ukraine with a guided Kh-59/Kh-69 air missile from the airspace of occupied Donetsk and 10 Shahed-type attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, a Kh-59/Kh-69 air missile and nine Shahed-131/136 UAVs were shot down.
