Sledkom said they would not exchange prisoners of war in Ukraine, but would force them to pay for “material damage.”
Russia announced the arrival of two thousand Ukrainian prisoners of war. The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, said they could not be replaced, according to the Russian publication Fontanka.
“I thought about how else to punish them, now we feed them and treat them. First, we decided not to give, we agreed where it should be. In a pre-trial detention center,” Bastrykin said. “Today there are 2,000 such warriors who came yesterday. We are working with them in detail and thoroughly.”
The leader of the Russian Sledkom also spoke about the fact that the military could pay for “material damage” to cities destroyed during the fighting.
As reported, another exchange of prisoners between the Russian Federation and Ukraine took place yesterday.
It will be recalled that earlier the GUR reported that a large number of arrested military personnel are expected to be released in the near future. Mariupol defenders will be released in stages.
