Ukrainian hackers attacked Russia’s largest agricultural equipment manufacturer

Rostselmash is the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Russia, occupying 17% of the world market and 65% of the Russian market.

Ukrainian IT specialists from BO Team attacked the company’s Russian group Combine plant Rostselmash, eliminating more than 110 servers and approximately 2,500 employee computers. This was reported on the group’s telegram channel on Tuesday, July 30.

During the attack, more than 200 terabytes of data, including backup copies, were destroyed and encrypted.

Rostselmash is the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Russia, occupying 17% of the world market and 65% of the Russian market.

In 2023, the Russian company received a net profit of 16.292 billion rubles, including from sales of equipment for processing stolen Ukrainian grain.

Earlier, cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “killed” cash registers in Crimea and stopped traffic on the Kerch Bridge.
