President Volodymyr Zelensky on the evening of Saturday, April 2, gave a speech on the results of the 38th day of the war in Ukraine.
Thus, the head of state said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to restore control over communities in the Kiev and Chernihiv regions. More and more Ukrainian national flags are being hoisted in temporarily occupied areas.
At the same time, he noted that the enemy has reserves to increase pressure on eastern Ukraine, in connection with which Kyiv is sending additional forces to these regions. At the same time, the president mentioned Mariupol, that the defenders are making a victory.
“Our heroic Mariupol continues to suppress a significant part of the enemy forces. Thanks to this resistance, the courage and resilience of our other cities, Ukraine has received a very important time,” said Zelensky.
Further, the head of state noted that the West has not yet provided Kiev with a sufficient number of modern anti-missile systems and aircraft, but there is still a possibility. He said the whole of Europe was trying to stop the war unleashed by Russia, except Hungary.
