Now Russian companies can import goods without the permission of the right holders – mainly companies from Western countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on parallel imports, which actually legalizes smuggling into the territory of the aggressor country. The text of the order appeared on the legal information portal and was implemented on Tuesday, June 28.
Now the government of the Russian Federation will be able to determine the list of goods to which the provisions on the protection of exclusive rights do not apply. That is, Russian companies can import goods without the consent of the right holders – mainly companies from Western countries. These companies will not relinquish civil, administrative and criminal liability.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade approved an extensive list of goods that could be imported into the Russian Federation without the permission of copyright holders. This list includes perfumes, clothing and footwear, watches, furniture, paper, various equipment, transportation, electronics, metals, fuel.
The list includes products from many brands, especially: Apple and Samsung equipment, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Renault, Tesla, Toyota and others.
Note that more than 600 large foreign companies left Russia because of the war unleashed against Ukraine.
