Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during her visit to Beijing, discussed with Chinese President Xi Jinping the Russian war against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East and some other important issues. ANSA reported this in relation to the Italian government office on Monday, July 29.
The parties discussed the main issues on the international agenda – from the Russian war against Ukraine to the dangers of further development in the Middle East.
Additionally, the issue of rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific region was also raised.
Meloni and Xi also touched on other topics of common interest, including artificial intelligence, combating climate change and reform of the UN Security Council, as well as bilateral relations.
