Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, today, July 29, on Special Operations Forces Day, visited the forward command post of the Special Operations Forces in the Kharkiv direction near Vovchansk, where he congratulated the soldiers on the holiday and awarded them with state awards.

Zelensky emphasized that the special forces fighters are successfully fighting in the hottest areas of the front and this direction is now one of the most difficult. This was reported on the website of the President’s Office.
During the visit, Zelensky:
- awarded soldiers with state awards, including two Heroes of Ukraine;
- The 142nd Special Operations Forces Training Center was awarded the honorary title “named after General Ensign Vsevolod Zmienko”;
- together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi heard a report from the Commander of the Special Operations Forces Oleksandr Trepak on the strategy for the development of the Special Operations Forces and the tasks completed and planned. Trepak spoke about the three main areas of activity of the Special Operations Forces: psychological operations and non-kinetic actions, the resistance movement in temporarily occupied territories and the actions of special forces units;
- discussed further reform and development of the SSO capabilities in accordance with modern challenges and the use of the best international and domestic experience acquired since 2014.
Ukrainian journalist Andrey Tsaplienko noted in his Telegram channel that after the news about Zelensky’s visit to Vovchansk appeared, the occupiers began to throw guided aerial bombs at the city.
