In the first half of this year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved five models of armored vehicles for various purposes for use by troops. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Monday, July 29.
The list of samples that received a NATO nomenclature code includes products of Ukrainian defense industry enterprises and production models of foreign defense enterprises.
It was noted that wheeled armored personnel carriers, armored vehicles with improved mine protection, as well as repair and recovery vehicles based on tank chassis were coded for the needs of the troops.

A Ukrainian-made model of weapons and military equipment, codified and included in the personnel list of military units, is allowed to be purchased at the expense of the state budget and used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Let’s recall that since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved more than 10 domestically produced robotic systems for operation in the army.
Also, from the beginning of 2024, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for use in the Defense Forces more than 60 samples of different types of ammunition.
