This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to intelligence, enemy air defense systems were operating in the area of the facility. Powerful explosions and fires were subsequently recorded, most likely in oil product tanks, the General Staff said.
It is noted that the Polevaya oil depot consists of 11 tanks with a total volume of 7 thousand cubic meters and is used, among other things, to meet the needs of the Russian army.
The task, within the framework of a single plan, was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU A), in cooperation with other components of the defense forces, the General Staff emphasized.
In addition, the General Staff reported that it had information about powerful explosions in the area of an electrical substation in the Kursk region.
Detailed information about the consequences of the defeat of both objects is being clarified, – the General Staff noted. – The Defense Forces continue to take all measures to blow up the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.
Earlier today, photos and videos of a fire at the oil depot of OOO Polevaya in the village of Polevaya in the Kursk region appeared on social networks. Subsequently, local authorities reported that three fuel tanks caught fire after a drone attack at night.
