Power steering drones attacked an oil refinery and three military airfields in Russia. A Tu-22M3 bomber was damaged at Olenya airfield. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to sources in special services.
On the evening of July 27 and the morning of the same day, as a result of the GUR operation, the military airfields in the city of Engels in the Saratov region, the Dyagilevo military airfield in the Ryazan region and the Olenya airfield in the region of Murmansk was attacked.
In addition, an oil refinery in Ryazan was hit by a kamikaze drone attack.
The first explosions, according to eyewitnesses, took place on the territory of the airport in Dyagilev at about 6:00 local time. Social networks published footage of “overflights” and smoke, and also reported at least three explosions.
The 43rd center for combat use and retraining of enemy aviation personnel is located at this airfield. Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL and Il-78 aircraft are based here, and an aircraft repair plant is located nearby.
Explosions at Engels airfield, where the strategic aviation of Russia is located, were heard around 8:00. Local publications note that the Russian air defense forces unsuccessfully tried to shoot down the drones.
According to sources, damage to the long-range supersonic missile-carrying bomber TU-22M3 was previously recorded as a result of a hit at the Olenya airfield.

As a result of the drone attack, fires broke out in the region, social networks reported. Fires were recorded in the area of the runway and parking lots of Russian aircraft at Millerovo. There are also reports online of explosions near the village of Dolotinka and the oil depot area.
