The FSB of the Russian Federation has detained the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Dmitry Bulgakov, on a corruption case. Russian media wrote about it on Friday, July 26.
It was noted that Bulgakov was arrested and placed in the Butyrka pre-trial detention center in Moscow, and investigative actions are being conducted with him.
“The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating a criminal case of a corruption nature, within the framework of which Dmitry Bulgakov, who served as Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation from 2008 to 2022, was selected as a preventive. The necessary investigative actions are carried out with the defendant,” said the official representative of the RF IC Svetlana Petrenko.
