On Friday, July 26, the court began to elect an 18-year-old native and resident of Dnipro, who was detained by law enforcement officers yesterday. Prosecutors will insist on keeping him in custody without the right to bail. The event is broadcast by Ukrainian media.
Let us recall that the suspect arrived in Lviv on July 9. During this time, he changed three apartments. The attacker immediately fled the scene of Irina Farion’s murder, and two days after the crime, he left by train for Dnipro.
At the scene of the crime, law enforcement officers found a 9×18 mm sports cartridge case. Investigators do not rule out that the cartridges were purchased on the black market. The killer shot Farion from a distance of no more than two meters. The murder weapon has not yet been found.
The police are now checking whether the suspect is involved in the Russian neo-Nazi movement.
