Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski believes that the EU can create conditions that should encourage potential recruits to return to their homeland.
Poland believes that the EU can create conditions that encourage Ukrainians liable for military service to return home. This is what Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said in an interview with RMF24.
According to him, European countries should help Ukraine. In particular, in EU countries there are hundreds of thousands of potential recruits who must defend their homeland.
He added that Poland is taking the lead in helping Ukraine prepare these people for military service.
The discussion about the return to Ukraine of people avoiding military service is being conducted at the level of the European Union, Sikorsky added.
“Here it is possible to set conditions for the stay of Ukrainians in the EU that will encourage them to fulfill their responsibilities to protect the Motherland,” the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry concluded.
